This building dates back to around 1900 and was once the town hospital. Now a bed and breakfast inn, both guests and employees have reported seeing two different apparitions on the premises. The first is the apparition of a miner, who has been seen shaving in a bathroom upstairs. The second is a shadowy apparition known as ‘Jedidiah’, who does not want to communicate with people. His appearance is usually accompanied by disembodied footsteps and other strange noises.

  • man in the hall

I just came home from this B&B. I had my dog along, a VERY laid back sleepy dog. We were staying in the Rose Room and he refused to go in. Once I forced him he stared into the corner towards front of hotel and froze. when I go his attention he headed toward the door. At anytime the room door was opened he bolted. The first night was uneventful but I was woken up in the morning by a baby crying (there were NO babies in the B&B that night). I looked it up when I got home and apparently there was a baby born In 1907 named Frederick when the B&B was a hospital. Our last night there we decided to take some pictures in the common room upstairs and invited the ghosts to come on out and visit. WELL THEY DID!!!! In masses. There were orbs and so many streams of lights and light anomalies I couldn't stop taking pics for a second. My boyfriend opened the Nest room door and said "come on out!" I immediately took a pic and a figure of a woman (from chest up) is clearly seen I a pink flower dress, red curly hair and a big hat. I then took a pic looking down hall towards our room. just as the flash flashed I saw CLEAR AS DAY a man walking out of our room towards the main stairs. I thought he had kept going and it was a residual manifestation but when I looked at the picture he was standing in doorway liking very angry at us. I was DONE for the evening. had a lump in my throat and felt sick. needed an escort to and from bathroom and room and had to sleep with light on. no that there was much sleeping going on. The next morning we spoke with the couple in the next room. they asked if either of us had gotten up during the night to use the bathroom. We had not. She said she heard foot steps outside of door. Her husband said he heard the footsteps stop at their bed. Will stay there again. Just have to grow another set.
