This home is rumored to be haunted by city founder and former owner, Dr. John McLoughlin. People have reported being touched on the shoulder late at night or seeing a shadowy figure walking down the hall. Footsteps have also been heard, along with the smell of tobacco and beds that are found to look like someone had been sleeping on them. A woman, believed to be John's wife Marguerite has also been seen at the bottom of the staircase, wearing an old-fashioned dress.
