This home dates back to 1862 and reportedly has two ghosts residing inside. The first is an elderly person who wanders through the home crying. She is believed to be the late August Helms, who witnessed many murders and suicides in the Helms family before her eventual death in the late 1800’s. The second ghost is that of a young girl who can be seen sitting at the bottoms of the staircase, crying. She died in 1868 from smallpox and was buried nearby.
