Hotel Oregon is located in a building that opened in 1905 as Hotel Elberton. It was renovated in 1998 and hosts an annual UFO convention, and it is decorated with relics of the building’s history and the town’s famous 1950 UFO sighting. The hotel is also believed to have a ghost nicknamed John. His ghost is thought to be a former long-term resident. People have reported feeling cold spots on the first and second floors of the hotel as well as in the cellar bar.

  • Spooky Experience

    Did a DJ event in the Hotel Ballroom. Came up the elevator and walked into the ballroom getting setup directions and left to bring up equipment. Leaving the ballroom into the hall I walked all around the long hallway checking each door for the elevator. As I returned to where I started and stood by a numbered door where I thought the elevator was I was perplexed and decided to take the stairs down. As I started down I heard a door open and people talking. looking over I saw them exiting the elevator. I stood facing the elevator door to see what number was on the elevator door. When the door closed in big letters it said Elevator ! When I told a guy at the bar he just said Doesn’t surprise me !
